Steyning Grammar School celebrates its 400th birthday in 2014. Over the next 18 months I will continue to run volunteer workshops. These workshops (1 per month) will focus on making 5 quilt panels to hang in the school. The project brings school students, staff and community together to make a collaborative set of quilts to commemorate the heritage of the school.
So far the workshops have proved to be exciting, fun, creative and have harnessed the community spirit within the school and the wider community. Here is a piece made by Tim Charlesworth, one of our art teachers in the school. If you live in the areas and want to get involved get in touch with me at the school.
